More than 25 years of freedom and art
The Association of Independent Creators and Activists GETO (UNSA Geto) has been active since 1999 with a clear mission: to develop a culture that encourages active citizen participation in social processes, to empower the civil sector with a focus on youth, and to achieve human rights through art and activism.For more than 25 years, UNSA Geto has been building a space of freedom, creativity, and solidarity in Banja Luka – a space where ideas turn into concrete change. Through numerous projects, initiatives, and cultural programs, UNSA Geto has become an important actor on the independent scene in Bosnia and Herzegovina and beyond.
Since 2013, UNSA Geto has been managing the Socio-Cultural Center Incel (DKC Incel) – a unique space located within the grounds of the former industrial giant INCEL, which all these years has been beating as the heart of the independent artistic and activist scene.
About DKC Incel
DKC Incel is an open space for all who believe in freedom of expression, independent art, social engagement, and community. Created in response to the lack of space for alternative cultural and social activities in Banja Luka, DKC Incel has become a refuge and platform for creators, collectives, organizations, and young people from diverse
backgrounds.
In the past 12 years, we have organized more than a thousand events – concerts, festivals, workshops, film screenings, lectures, flea markets, skateboarding gatherings, and much more – shaping a distinctive and authentic scene in our city. Moreover, by providing space to emerging local artists, we have contributed to the creation and empowerment of an artistic community in Banja Luka and beyond.
Ideologically, DKC Incel stands FOR creativity, self-organization, solidarity, openness, and tolerance, and AGAINST all forms of discrimination, prejudice, and repression.
In addition, UNSA Geto is the founder of the BL ART Festival, which has been held for more than fifteen years and represents a multi-day cultural event and platform for social change – a reminder that art can be a powerful tool for creating a better and more peaceful society.
In the future, we see DKC Incel as a key pillar of the independent scene in the region – a place that brings people together, empowers, and inspires.

BL ART Festival
A multi-day regional festival that has, for over 12 years, brought together emerging artists, cultural workers, and activists from across the region. It focuses on socially engaged themes, explored through exhibitions, performances, film screenings, educational sessions, and discussions.
Workshops, lectures, flea markets, film screenings, and concerts
These are just some of the activities we organize to affirm the independent scene, freedom of thought, and freedom of expression. DKC Incel is an open space for young individuals, organizations, and collectives who need a safe environment to realize their own ideas.
Street actions and community work
In collaboration with residents of city neighborhoods, we fight to preserve public spaces such as improvised playgrounds and oppose the over-concreting of shared spaces.
Skateboarding gatherings and skate park construction
By promoting urban culture and sports, we support the youth scene and participate in the development of the first DIY skate park in Banja Luka.
IDAHOBIT program
We mark the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia through an educational-artistic program that brings together the LGBTIQ community from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region – creating a network of solidarity, learning, and support. We also support the community through various smaller events, gatherings, and actions.
Concerts, parties, and music activities
DKC Incel regularly organizes music events that affirm alternative, independent, and original music – from local bands and regional performers to guests from different parts of the world.
Rehearsal space for local bands
On the upper floor of DKC Incel, there is a rehearsal space – an area that allows local original bands to work continuously through rehearsals and small educational activities in a supportive environment.

Donate for the Self-Sustainability of DKC Incel!
Dear friends, collaborators, and all who believe in freedom of speech, independent culture, and collective action – we invite you to support our campaign “As long as Incel lives, freedom creates,” through which we are raising funds for the basic operational costs of the Socio-Cultural Center Incel: rent, utilities, hygiene, space repairs, and essential equipment.
Today, we are facing an existential crisis. After the suspension of international financial support and the introduction of a new, restrictive Law on the Registration and Transparency of Nonprofit Organizations in the Republic of Srpska, we are threatened by legal blockage, a ban on operations, and the closure of our space.
That’s why we need your help! Support us and help keep DKC Incel alive, independent, and open to everyone.
The campaign is carried out through two parallel paths:
- An online campaign, aiming to gather support via Patreon subscriptions and direct donations;
- Benefit activities at DKC Incel, taking place from May 31 until the end of August 2025 – concerts, workshops, lectures, and other events through which we’ll raise funds in person, spread the story, and connect communities.
Our goal, besides raising funds, is to show through these events how significant DKC Incel is for the local community, emerging artists, and the development of the urban cultural scene.
